Terrelle Pryor: "I hope Matt (McGloin) has a lot of success"

Terrelle Pryor gave way to Matt McGloin as the Oakland Raiders starting quarterback when he suffered a knee injury and McGloin has been played like he wants to hold onto this spot for a while. McGloin did well against the Houston Texans and got another shot to start this weekend against the Tennessee Titans. If he continues to do well, then it could mean more starts in his future.

Pryor was asked about the situation and here is how he responded:

“I’m not frustrated,” Pryor said. “That’s just the game. It happens. Other guys play well. If you get hurt and other guys play well, why not continue with it? I don’t blame Coach. I’m a team player. … I hope Matt has a lot of success. At the end of the day, like I said, I just got to get healthy. That’s all I can really control.” (CSN Bay Area)

Excellent attitude by Pryor on the situation. He is saying all the right things. You know he would love to get back on the field as a starter, but someone has stolen that spotlight for the time being.

a little premature. must see more than one good game in a row before we proclaim the 2nd comming of the mad bomber. I like getting him another shot here and letting TP rest. TP will make his triumphant return on the big stage in Dallas. He will play lights out being healthy again and suddenly we’ll have our starter (TP) and a qulaity back up in mcgroin.

I don’t share your optimism. Until Pryor becomes a better passer, he is just a halfback that throws passes.

look at the tape of the first three games. he was spot on and and had a rocket launcher to boot. he also did fairly well at ohio st.. he’s only started a few NFL games thus my reason for optimism. unfortunatly, most of these “hybryds” go the way of the dinosaur quickly due to injury…time will tell. like our chances this w/e but cj will get his yards.

TP’s numbers in his last few games made Jamarcus R look good. As far as MM, he earned another start. Hopefully he continues to play well. But we all know any QB can have 1 good game.

it’s all i’m sayin……he broke marajuanavichis record????? (1st game 3td-0 int.) so thats meaning less. Let’s see two in a row at home against the titans. Then if da nust, let them fight it out in practice, I think a healthy TP wins that every week.
