Terrelle Pryor gave way to Matt McGloin as the Oakland Raiders starting quarterback when he suffered a knee injury and McGloin has been played like he wants to hold onto this spot for a while. McGloin did well against the Houston Texans and got another shot to start this weekend against the Tennessee Titans. If he continues to do well, then it could mean more starts in his future.
Pryor was asked about the situation and here is how he responded:
“I’m not frustrated,” Pryor said. “That’s just the game. It happens. Other guys play well. If you get hurt and other guys play well, why not continue with it? I don’t blame Coach. I’m a team player. … I hope Matt has a lot of success. At the end of the day, like I said, I just got to get healthy. That’s all I can really control.” (CSN Bay Area)
Excellent attitude by Pryor on the situation. He is saying all the right things. You know he would love to get back on the field as a starter, but someone has stolen that spotlight for the time being.
