Buffalo Bills star defensive tackle Kyle Williams is one of the most dominant defensive linemen in the game, but there’s a chance that the Bills will be without him this week against the Atlanta Falcons. According to Bills head coach Doug Marrone, Williams didn’t practice today after a back injury flared up just this morning. It’s a precarious situation, and it’s one to watch closely heading into Sunday’s game.

Since the Bills have unsurprisingly listed Williams as questionable due to today’s missed practice session, it looks like the dominant defensive tackle will be a game-time decision. That’s great news for the Falcons, who have arguably the worst offensive line in the NFL, particularly on the interior. Marcell Dareus and Williams form one of the best and most explosive DT tandems in the NFL, and a healthy Williams would cause major problems for Matt Ryan and the overmatched Falcons interior, which was overran a couple of weeks ago by Tampa Bay Buccaneers All-Pro DT Gerald McCoy.

Kyle Williams is unquestionably an elite player in this league, so the Bills will hope that the injury doesn’t cause him to miss this week’s game. But since Williams is such a key part of this defense, they will likely be more inclined to rest the 30-year-old rather than risk his health at this juncture. Williams has been an absolute monster this season in all facets of the game, and he continues to show off his top-notch talent. The stat sheet is filled to the brim with Williams’s numbers, as he has 48 tackles and seven sacks this season.
