Could the Jets Turn To QB David Garrard?

The New York Jets are hurting in a bad way at the quarterback position. Geno Smith had some nice highs earlier in the season, but he has struggled of late as the league has adjusted. Smith was benched this weekend again after a poor performance and his backup quarterback Matt Simms wasn’t able to provide any type of life to the team either.

What are the Jets going to do now?

With the AFC Wild Card spot still up for grabs, the team has to still be looking to find a way to get into that picture. Smith doesn’t look like the answer to hanging around. Simms doesn’t look like the solution either. Could the team look toward veteran QB David Garrard? Garrard has been on the team since October and has been on the inactive list since he has arrived. Could the team finally get him on the field and get him some action?

The team needs someone that can manage the offense. Garrard might not be the guy, but we already know that Smith and Simms are not going to get it done.
