Oregon Ducks QB Marcus Mariota has announced that he will be returning to school for the 2014 season. That will be a huge shift in the 2014 draft. The draft is supposed to have a great quarterback class and Mariota was going to be one of the top prospects available. He possibly could have been the top quarterback selected in the draft.
Now that Mariota will be back in school, Teddy Bridgewater looks like the clear favorite to be the top quarterback selected.
The quarterback hungry teams in the league will have to look at the other options on the board now that Mariota is gone. The draft stock of Johnny Manziel and other quarterbacks just got a little boost in their draft stock with Mariota going back.
The Houston Texans, Minnesota Vikings and the Jacksonville Jaguars are now battling out for the top draft pick to select Teddy Bridgwater. Whoever loses the most gets the prize. The Texans have looked like they wanted that top spot the most by losing 10 straight.
