Matt Cassel Likely Starter For Vikings vs Ravens

The Minnesota Vikings carousel is going around one more time and the quarterback for this weeks game against the Baltimore Ravens will likely be Matt Cassel. Get your interception hands ready Baltimore!

Christian Ponder suffered a concussion last week and still has not cleared the protocols yet to get back in the game. Right when Ponder was getting into a nice little groove. He started getting more action out of Greg Jennings and the team was moving the ball down the field.

The Ravens are in a playoff race and they will take any break that they can get on that path to the playoffs. If Adrian Peterson decided to take a break and sit out the game, I am sure Baltimore fans would by him a nice recliner for him to sit in. Cassel will definitely make things easier, but the Ravens still have to find a way to stop Adrian Peterson and that running game.

Cassel will make things easier for Baltimore than Ponder? I certainly disagree.Ponder/Jennings? Check the Cassel/Jennings stats. Many times Jennings has been wide open down field but rarely does Ponder see him, even if he has time. He is locked in on the the check down.
