Texans Fire Head Coach Gary Kubiak

The Houston Texans have fired head coach Gary Kubiak a day after the team lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars. I wonder if the firing was made because they lost to the Jaguars or because they lost  to them twice. It is possible that the firing is because he planned on possibly starting Matt Schaub for the rest of the season and going away from the youngster Case Keenum.

Anyway, we all knew that it was coming after the team had lost 11 straight games. It just happened a little sooner and the team can now start their search for a new head coach.

With Kubiak out of the way, the Texans will look to Wade Phillips to call the shots as the interim head coach for the rest of the season.  He will also be interviewed to be the permanent guy. He could land the gig if he impresses with these last few games.

Kubiak will likely get some calls for some offensive coordinator gigs in the offseason. He will get back on his feet somewhere.

A good place for him to land could be Washington? Kubiak had great success with play action in Denver when cutler was under center. Schaub is pocket passer, and RG3 could give Kubiak some credibility to run an efficient offense.
