Adrian Peterson: MRI Reveals No Tears and No Lisfranc Injury

Dec 8, 2013; Baltimore, MD, USA; Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson (28) gets carted off the field against the Baltimore Ravens at M

Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson avoided a serious injury on Sunday, per ESPN. He underwent an MRI on Monday and it revealed no ligament damage and they have ruled out a Lisfranc injury. The x-rays also showed no broken bones in his foot.

Peterson was in a walking boot on Monday and there still is the possibility of him sitting out the final 3 games of the season. Peterson is a warrior on the field and we all know that he can come back from serious injuries. I would not be surprised to see him on the field for the final 3 games of the season.

Peterson trails LeSean McCoy in the rushing yards race this season. I am sure Peterson would want a chance to hold the rushing yards crown again for another season.  It might be a little tougher for him to catch up with a foot issue bothering him in the last 3 games of the season.
