Titans Expected to Release Chris Johnson In Offseason

The Tennessee Titans are likely to release RB Chris Johnson in the offseason, per Ian Rapoport. How far has he fallen off of the map? Johnson was known to everyone as CJ2K after his 2000 yard season, but he has not been able to get close to that mark since that season.

He still has that burst out of the backfield, but he seems to run with a little hesitation and is not able to hit the hole with authority. It will be interesting to see who is interested in Johnson this offseason. He shows flashes of that 2000 yard running back, but he hasn’t been able to be consistent. The Titans are paying him a ton of dough to run the football and they are not getting the bang for their buck, so he will likely be wearing a different jersey next season.

Which team will take the gamble on Johnson. Can they bring back that stud running back?

Just tell him that San Diego will have an opening. I don’t expect Ronnie Brown to be back, and the Chargers could use him. They have an O-line that actually can block and a QB that can take attention away from him.

That’s why it makes good sense. He’s a veteran that pick up the load if Ryan goes out and he can block. Telesco seems to like scouting the AFC South. This should be right up his alley.
