The Miami Dolphins safety that sealed the game against the New England Patriots on Sunday was unknown to a lot of fans. The Miami Dolphins players barely knew his name. He was so new to the team that he didn’t even know the defensive signals that the sidelines were sending in. He was so new to the team that he had no idea how to get to the stadium.

Know the name: Michael Thomas. He was claimed off of the San Francisco 49ers practice squad a week ago and was in the game during the critical moments of the game and came up with the big time play to seal the victory. The play that could very well lead the Dolphins into the playoffs.

Here is Michael Thomas speaking after the game:

I am sure people will know his name a little better around Miami today. I am sure that the guys in the locker room will know him a little better as well. Maybe someone can buy the guy a GPS as well. Wouldn’t want him getting lost heading to the game!
