Wes Welker Likely To Be Held Out Until Playoffs

Denver Broncos WR Wes Welker is expected to be held out for the final 2 games of the regular season. He has suffered a couple of concussions this season and he has not returned to the field since the 2nd concussion.

Welker did a little bit of work on Thursday, but he still has not been cleared to play and the Broncos are going to take the cautious approach with Welker.

The Broncos are looking to get a first round bye and home field advantage throughout the playoffs in the final 2 games. The face the Texans this week and finish it up against the Oakland Raiders.

The Broncos want to be at full strength for the playoffs. You can see some of their struggles on offense last week against the San Diego Chargers without Welker in the game. They still should be able to move the ball without him, but there is a reason why he was brought in this offseason.
