Carolina Panthers LB Luke Kuchley has been credited for 26 tackles vs the Saints on Sunday. TWENTY SIX!!!! Do the Panthers need anybody else on that defense? Kuechly is all over the field. It would likely take mortal linebackers a solid 3 games in order to rack up that total, but Kuechly’s nose for the football put him in position for 26 tackles.

The Panthers defense is a big reason why they were able to beat the New Orleans Saints and a big reason why they have been able to clinch a playoff spot. They lead the Saints by a game in the division and they will be looking to secure that title over the weekend.

The Panthers have turned things around from last season. The defense has been solid with Luke patrolling the middle. A lot of credit also has to go to his supporting cast. He has a solid group of players around him that make Kuechly the player that he is.

But still, TWENTY SIX tackles is a phenomenal accomplishment for one day.

Great play by Luke, and you have to give credit to the whole defense for this win as the bent but did not break. This total of 26 tackles will set a new record and should push Luke in The D Player of the year. Individual Credit should also be given to Thomas Davis as he has stormed back from 3 major surgeries on one knee, The no name Defense of the Panthers is awsome. Go Panthers and pound those Falcons
