Redskins Will Interview Giants DC Perry Fewell For Head Coaching Vacancy

The Washington Redskins will bring in New York Giants defensive coordinator Perry Fewell in for an interview for the head coaching vacancy. Fewell has been running the Giants defense for the last 4 seasons and had been a hot coaching candidate in the past, but with the Giants team looking miserable this season, his name has dropped off of the radar a bit.

The Giants have had a strong defense for some time and relied on their strong defense during their championship runs. His defense this season finished 8th in the league.

Fewell could help turn around the Redskins defense that struggled in all aspects of the game. They were one of the worst defensive units in the game. They were a mess.

The Redskins don’t have a ton to work with on the defensive side of the roster, but the offensive side has Robert Griffin III, Alfred Morris and Pierre Garcon. Sadly, the Redskins won’t even have their high draft pick in the first round because they had traded it away in order to select RGIII.
