MRI Shows NaVorro Bowman Has Torn ACL and MCL

The MRI came back for San Francisco 49ers LB NaVorro Bowman’s knee and it showed he has a torn ACL and MCL in his knee, per Pro Football Talk. He will have surgery on his knee and he is expected to be ready for the start of the 2014 season,

If you didn’t witness the injury on television, Bowman made a play on a ball carrier to rip out the football and force a fumble near the goal line. While he was reaching to pick up the football, he had his knee rolled up on and it was scary looking. They really didn’t have to instant replay it so often.

Bowman had to be taken off the field on a cart (where some Seahawks fan decided to throw some popcorn at him) and miss the rest of the game. Tough break for Bowman.
