Oakland Raiders Interested in Tajh Boyd

The Oakland Raiders are looking to throw more bodies at their quarterback position and they have shown a lot of interest in Clemson QB Tajh Boyd at Senior Bowl practices. Boyd is projected to be selected on day 2 of the NFL draft and the Raiders have shown the most interest in him so far.

“I think the Raiders have been showing the most so far,” Boyd told WalterFootball.com. “I have a lot of other meetings set up, so we’ll just have to see how the week goes.”

Boyd completed 283 passes for 3851 yards and 34 touchdowns in his Senior season and also ran for 400 yards. Could the Raiders be looking to pair a couple of Clemson teammates in the draft? The Raiders hold the 5th spot in the draft and could take Boyd’s teammate Sammy Watkins in the first roun, then they could come back on the next day and select Tahj Boyd.

GM Reggie McKenzie said that the team was in the market for a quarterback. Could Boyd be the quarterback that he is targetting in the draft?

Nooooooo!!! Please no please no please no! I like Boyd. His career will be ruined if he goes to the Black Hole! Don’t you know this Tajh? Get them to not like you!

    • Charles Harris

It wont be ruined if he has Sammy to throw to!

      • Gunnar Martin

Oh please. Even that wouldn’t save him. I love Watkins, but let’s be real here. Everyone that has been a part of Oakland’s franchise in the last decade has come out worse than when they came in. There’s a reason why it’s called the “Black Hole.”

You have nothing to worry about, there’s no way there drafting another project like Tajh, and I have news for you he’s really not all that.

By the time draft day has arrived, beat writers & mainstream media will have suggested Raiders are going to select one of the top QB’s for this years draft. One article will contradict what precious article stated, so on, so forth. Expect the unexpected with Reggie McKenzie! We’re sure to make picks that are boom or bust, and sign mediocre free agents to 1 year deals. Just hope for sake of CONTINUITY, McKenzie & Allen turn things around this year! Make me a believer boyz! Go Raiders

if they draft Boyd, I will not buy a single ticket to this season….he is not the type we need. we need a pocket passer a true nfl style

it never ceases to amaze me how RM wants to look at ABs that Mayocks, Jeremiah and Davis never praise about but yet the players they do praise go on to have immediate impacts on their perspective teams? I hear these guys talking up Manziels replacement Gallipoli who is 6’5- 245 with a lightening fast release and dart accuracy? RM must be sitting outside in his car or something. Toliaferro was another touch n pound u kind of kid for a back? I have a feeling RM and DA are sealing their fate with no name lack luster pics. With 2-4-12 seasons in the books we can NOT afford bad pics. Our scouts suck big time!

All these Raider haters commenting, I bet their teams didn’t do any better this season either. We’re hated so much because they really love us. Neither one of us signs any paychecks or have any part in the NFL other than spectating. Opinions are like a-holes, everybody has one and they all stink! #Raider4life
