Oakland Raiders Interested in Tajh Boyd

The Oakland Raiders are looking to throw more bodies at their quarterback position and they have shown a lot of interest in Clemson QB Tajh Boyd at Senior Bowl practices. Boyd is projected to be selected on day 2 of the NFL draft and the Raiders have shown the most interest in him so far.

“I think the Raiders have been showing the most so far,” Boyd told WalterFootball.com. “I have a lot of other meetings set up, so we’ll just have to see how the week goes.”

Boyd completed 283 passes for 3851 yards and 34 touchdowns in his Senior season and also ran for 400 yards. Could the Raiders be looking to pair a couple of Clemson teammates in the draft? The Raiders hold the 5th spot in the draft and could take Boyd’s teammate Sammy Watkins in the first roun, then they could come back on the next day and select Tahj Boyd.

GM Reggie McKenzie said that the team was in the market for a quarterback. Could Boyd be the quarterback that he is targetting in the draft?
