Dallas Cowboys Josh Brent was sentenced today for 180 days in prison and was also given 10 years of probation for driving intoxicated and causing a crash that killed his teammates. 180 days for intoxication manslaughter? Seems that he got off light.

6 months in jail for someone that drove intoxicated and someone had to pay the ultimate price for his mistake. Sounds crazy to me.

Brent was convicted of intoxication manslaughter on Wednesday for the crash that killed his teammate Jerry Brown. Brown’s family forgave Butler for what had happened and it seems that the legal system was able to forgive him as well.

Brent faced a 20 year sentence for his 2012 rollover accident that occurred after he was driving 110 MPH while intoxicated. He was sentenced for 10 years, but it was suspended and he gets probation for the full amount. He will spend 180 days behind bars instead.
