Carlos Ortiz will not be called to testify against former New England Patriots star TE Aaron Hernandez. Ortiz was once believed to be the star witness for the prosecution, but he is believed to be completely unreliable, via the Taunton Gazette. Ortiz’s accounts of the event on the night that Odin Lloyd was killed have changed and the prosecution is unable to use him to testify.

Without a weapon or a reliable witness, can the prosecution prove that Aaron Hernandez was the killer in the event? There doesn’t seem to be anything that they have that can prove without a shadow of a doubt that Hernandez was the killer.

If Hernandez were to walk away from this case, there is another case that the prosecution can go to. There are also weapon charges that are going against Hernandez that could put him behind bars for up to 10 years.

Will Hernandez walk on murder chargers?
