5. The weather

We’ve heard it since it was announced that the Super Bowl will be played in New Jersey (not New York). The weather will be a factor. It’ll be cold, perhaps freezing, but it won’t snow. There’s a 10 percent chance of snow in the forecast.

If it does snow or even rain, the advantage goes to Seattle. Snowy conditions don’t favor a fast-paced, pass-heavy team like Denver. Seattle is the opposite of that – the team relies on Marshawn Lynch in the run game and has the league’s best defense.
