Champ Bailey Will Return for 2014 Season

Denver Broncos CB Champ Bailey had contemplated retirement before the Super Bowl, but after the game he was still hungry to get that championship. He wants to return to the field in 2014 in hopes of getting that elusive championship under his belt.

“I’m not done playing football,” Bailey said, via The Denver Postk. “So I feel like I’m going to give myself another shot next year.”

Bailey struggled with injuries throughout the season and he has lost a step. He used to be one of the top cover corners in the game, but now he is unable to keep up with some wide receivers. Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin burned him for a 37-yard gain early in the game on Sunday.

With his return to the field in 2014, Bailey may consider moving to safety. He doesn’t have the ability to hang with receivers anymore. The transition to safety might be best for him.

How will Bailey do in the 2014 season?
