Number 1: Malcolm Smith

A seventh round draft pick in 2011, Malcolm Smith certainly had an uphill battle making the Seattle Seahawks team. Or did he? Well, Smith attended the University of Southern California, where Pete Carroll (Seattle’s coach) used to coach. Coincidence? I think not. Not only is Malcolm Smith a terrific linebacker, but he is also fast and can catch the football. Let’s take a look back a couple of weeks ago at the NFC Championship game. Richard Sherman made the big deflection, but who actually intercepted it? Malcolm Smith. Who had an interception returned for a touchdown and ten tackles in the biggest game of the year? Malcolm Smith. Get used to that name.
