Tony Gonzalez Open to a Return Next Season

Tony Gonzalez has left the door cracked open for a return to the NFL again next season(Pro Football Talk). He spoke in an interview for ESPN The Magazine and said that he would be open to a return next season for the stretch run for a team that’s established itself as a championship contender.

Gonzalez has accomplished a lot in this league, but he still has not gotten that Championship that he has been hunting for. He returned to the Falcons last season in hopes of making a run to the Super Bowl, but the team struggled through a bunch of injuries and couldn’t even make it into the playoffs.

Gonzalez still looks like he would be able to contribute on a roster. If he keeps himself in shape and a team is in need of a tight end, Gonzalez would be an excellent player to pick up for the stretch run. He is hungry for a championship and could help out a team immediately. He might get that chance one last time.
