Hey there SpinZoners and welcome to my #2 mock draft. Admittedly, there perhaps were some mistakes with my last draft as pointed out by some of you. I guess my #1, 2 and 7 picks were not what many people expected, so I apologize for those people expecting a QB heavy first 8 picks, however the teams with the top 8 picks are there because of their defenses. If there is any advice I will give to you readers before going into this mock draft is to look at the stats and look at where this team could improve the most. In this next mock draft I will profile and give some insight into the #11-18 picks in the draft, going from the Tennessee Titans to the New York Jets. Although some of these picks could potentially rustle some jimmies, I believe with the stats and analysis I provide, they will hopefully make some sense. Thus, without any further delay, let’s get this show on the road. Here is my 2nd Mock Draft, picks 11-19 edition.

Keith, absolutely agree on Donald for the Bears. Go for Willie Young at DE in the UFA. Nice write up. http://beardownnation.blogspot.ca/

Steelers take Murphy at 15? No Way… He will probably be there for them in Rd2… but, maybe you are right, they seem to draft a player at least a rd ahead of where they should (Bell, L Jones, last year)… I really see them going OT if Lewan/Kounadjo is there, CB if the kid from Okie St is there, or taking the ND nose tackle.

  • Paul Newbold

Jets go TE at #18, bypassing Lee who had a less then spectacular final season of college, and carries some injury concerns. If Ebron or Amaro are still on the board, they get an offensive weapon. with plenty of versatility and athleticism. This draft is deep with talent at WR, making it possible for them to go TE in the first, and still come away with a play making WR in the second. The Jets will address Safety either through the draft or via free agency. I know it’s unlikely, but I’d love to Jairus Byrd in green and white next season!

  • Milliken Steeler

I have a feeling the Steelers would go Gilbert at CB or Mosely at ILB IF, they were available at 15. They would go a WR if Watkins were available however, that isn’t going to happen as he will be long gone.

We have major issues in the secondary and this is a deep draft. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them double dip at CB and then still take a safety.

The reason I take this stand Keith is that Big Mac was both injured and this was his first year as a starter. If he is healthy, I only think he will be better and I think Woods and Ziggy can be had cheap. I think Arnfelt will become a part of the rotation on the D-line. All of these guys are young and have upside. In the secondary is where we have major age issues. Clarke is done, Ike is 33? and Troy right behind them. We have to get youngsters in there and I mean now.

Missing on the Black Cat in the fifth round hurt badly last year. Curtis Brown and Robert Golden are showing me nothing so far. In fact one even got benched on special teams for a bit.If I were the Steelers, I would be getting extremely serious about the secondary starting with this draft and even consider a cheap FA possibly. How about Collins formerly of GreenBay to a non guaranteed invite at safety? If he is healthy he could definitely help for a couple of years.
