There are rumors out of Cleveland that have Jairus Byrd linked with the Browns in a reunion with new Browns head coach Mike Pettine. The rumors seem to have some legs to it though according to Ian Rapoport.

The Browns have T.J. Ward hitting free agency this offseason and they may look to fill the spot on the defense with Byrd as the starting safety. Unless the Browns are looking to have both Ward and Byrd patrolling the secondary for them. That just sinds all kinds of crazy. Especially when you consider Joe Haden shutting down receivers on the outside as well.

The Browns already had a nice base on the defensive side of the football. Adding in a couple more players on that side of the ball with a defensive mind running the show could make for a tough defense.
