Donte Whitner - "going going back back to the bay"

Donte Whitner is playing with the emotions of the fans out in the Bay Area. Whitner is set to become a free agent in a couple of weeks and will have the opportunity to play with any team that wants to throw some money at him.

Whitner went onto his twitter and quoted a rap song that seems to give a little cryptic message for fans:

Is Whitner re-signing with the San Fracnisco 49ers or is he just quoting some lyrics from a song?

I know the fans would want him back playing safety and cracking some heads. We will have to play the ‘wait and see’ game right now though. Will he be back with the 49ers? Will he be making plays for some other team in their secondary?

The problem is that he is not a very good coverage man and when safeties that are poor in coverage get old their coverage skills go down hill very quickly, plus he has been getting a bunch penalties for Unnecessary Roughness, whether they were actual penalties or not the fact remains he is a liability as long as he is under the referees radar.
