NFL Considering 42-Yard Extra Points

The NFL is considering making he extra point a little more difficult for teams and is considering pushing it back down the field a bit. They are considering moving it pretty far back. They are considering making it a 42-yard field goal now.

I love Lombardi’s suggestion for the extra point, but there would be a lot more misses on that extra point if it were from that deep. Especially if the game is on the line or if the weather conditions are terrible.

It would be an interesting idea and would change the dynamic of that part of the game. Teams might consider using the 2-point conversion a little more if that were the case. Especially teams that have some shakiness at the kicker position.
