Cortland Finnegan Tweets His Goodbye to St. Louis

Cortland Finnegan was brought to the St. Louis Rams by Jeff Fisher to add some toughness onto the defense and he signed a big money deal with the team. He was a top-notch corner when he signed, but he has not lived up to the pricetag and the team will likely cut him loose.

Finnegan looks like he is reporting the news of his release on his twitter:

Finnegan has been with the Rams for a couple of seasons with coach Jeff Fisher. His time is up now though. He is 30 years old and still has some left in the tank, but the team did not want to pay him the big bucks to keep him around on the roster. He will have to latch on with some other team and hope to fight for a job there.

Finnegan brings toughness and an attitude on the defense. He will get an opportunity to play again somewhere.
