Darnell Dockett Welcomes Branden Albert to the Cardinals

Darnell Dockett made a boo boo. He went on his twitter and wanted to welcome his newest teammate to the Arizona Cardinals, Branden Albert.

Dockett… free agency doesn’t start until the 11th. Players are not allowed to sign on with new teams until the 11th and teams are not allowed to talk with the free agents until Saturday. But Dockett already is welcoming a new teammate onto the roster:

Of course Dockett removed that tweet off of his twitter timeline. That was just not a smart thing to do. Players talk and it would not be surprising to see Albert signed on with the Cardinals this offseason. Dockett might have a future as a journalist. He would have been the first one to break the story.

Albert would be a nice pickup by the Cardinals in free agency. He could help the team give more protection for Carson Palmer up front. He is someone who the Cardinals are likely considering to talk to over the weekend. If they haven’t done that already…

We all know Albert is more than likely gone. Just a matter of what team will pay him the money he wants. I reside in Phoenix, and although I really don’t follow the Cardinals that much because I am a die hard Chiefs fan, they would probably pay the money Albert would be asking for. Their offensive line last year was not that good and Palmer was getting kicked around quite a bit. So, I wouldn’t be that surprised to see Albert in a Cardinals uniform this year. Should be interesting if he does go to the Cardinals because I think the Chiefs play them this season.
