Eugene Monroe and the Baltimore Ravens are not close to a deal right now. Free agency is going to start on Tuesday and teams are able to contact Monroe on Saturday. Monroe should have a good idea of what the market for him will be over the weekend.

The Ravens are looking to keep him on the roster as the starting tackle at a rate of $8M to $9M annually, but Monroe is looking for a deal that can get him around $10M annually. The two sides are still negotiating and a deal can come together soon, but with free agency right around the corner, it could get a little more complicated.

Teams are going to be knocking on the door and looking to pick up some protection for their quarterbacks. Monroe is one of the best tackles available in free agency and should get a lot of action if he is available. Some team might be willing to pay the $10M that he is looking to pick up in the offseason. If someone offers him that dough, then he may just end up wearing new colors.
