Lance Moore Released By New Orleans Saints

Lance Moore was shown his walking papers from the New Orleans Saints today. Moore was the first one to post about the possible release on his twitter account when he said his goodbyes to the city of New Orleans:

The word become official a few hours later.

Moore has been with the Saints for a productive nine seasons and fit the system in New Orleans well. He worked well with Sean Payton and his offense and developed a good relationship with Drew Brees on offense. He will have to work in with a new system as he becomes a free agent. He will get an opportunity to shine in a different jersey, but the Saints offense was a perfect fit for him. Hopefully he finds a good fit on another roster.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I think lance Moore looks like good FA. However he may be a system guy as well. Still another good option for the Chargers to look at.

He doesn’t really seem like someone that would fit our scheme. I don’t think we end up signing him, but I do think he’ll be a good pickup for someone else.
