Alterraun Verner Says Patriots Are a "Definite Possibility"

Alterraun Verner is going to get a lot of love in free agency. Sam Shields just signed a nice contract to stay with the Green Bay Packers and Verner should get a deal similar to that. Verner is the top corner available on the market and is generating a ton of interest around the league.

Verner shared today that the New England Patriots are a “definite possibility” as a destination and tat Devin McCourty has been lobbying for his services in New England, per Field Yates.

The Patriots will be looking to fill a hole at their cornerback position this offseason. Aqib Talib is a free agent and will be shopping his services around with the rest of the league. If the Patriots are unable to keep Talib in a Patriots jersey, then Verner could be the direction that they move.

Free agency starts tomorrow and Verner will create a bidding war for his services. Who will land the top corner in free agency?
