Branden Albert Deal With Dolphins Almost Complete

Free Agency doesn’t become official until Tuesday, but the news on Branden Albert going to the Miami Dolphins seems unofficially official:

The Dolphins are looking for upgrades all along their offensive line. Ryan Tannehill was hit a ton in the backfield last season and needs to get more protection to stand in the pocket and deliver that football. Albert will be a nice step in the right direction. He would start for the Dolphins on the left side of the line and lock that position down. The Dolphins still need to find more players to insert on that offensive line. They were a mess last season.

Look for the word to become official with the Dolphins and Branden Albert on Tuesday. They can go hunting for other players up front now. They are making steps in the right direction up front.

This is no big surprise. The Chiefs didn’t want to retain him for the money he wanted. I just hope they keep one or both of their guards. If they can’t keep both I would prefer to keep Schwartz. Hopefully, we will hear something in the next few days.

Ernie, whats the reason the Chiefs can’t or won’t keep Albert? Good LTs are extremely hard to come by in the NFL, so what gives? If the Chiefs don’t want Albert then why should the Dolphins?
