Jacksonville Jaguars DE Jason Babin decided that he would void his deal with the team for the final couple of seasons, per John Clayton. If he didn’t do it, the team would have likely done it for him. He will now become available for the rest of the league to bring onto their roster.
Babin was signed by the Jaguars to help with the team’s pass rush, but with the new coaching staff in place and with his big money deal, he didn’t fit in with the team any longer.
With Babin off of the roster, the Jaguars have cleared $6 million under the cap. That should give the team some money to work with in order to bring in other players on defense.
Babin will be a decent option for 4-3 defenses to bring in to play defensive end. He should get some interest around the league. He still is a productive pass rusher and finished last season with 7.5 sacks.
Where will Babin end up now?
