Steve Smith's Jersey Removed From Panthers Team Store

Steve Smith‘s jersey has been removed from the Carolina Panther’s team store. Time to let the speculation begin. There has been a lot of rumblings about the possibility of the team letting go of Smith this offseason. He is due a big paycheck and the team may want to look in a different direction.

The GM and Smith had talked about the situation, but nobody has talked about the situation since there talk. Could the team be looking to move in a different direction?

The free agency period opens up tomorrow and the Panthers could be looking to dump Smith before the start of that time.

Smith’s jersey also could have been removed from the team store because he plans on adding a “Sr.” at the end of his name on the jersey. That could be it or it also could mean that Smith’s jersey will be in a different team store next season.
