A team has emerges in the Charles Tillman hunt and it is a team that should not surprise. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are interested in bringing Charles Tillman onto their defense, per Chicago Tribune. Lovie Smith would love to work with his former player on his defense again.
Smith and Tillman spend a number of years together in the Chicago Bears defense and it would be nice to have his experience in the new system that he is installing with the Buccaneers.
The Buccaneers also will be tossing Darrelle Revis to the curb, so the team will be looking for more help in the secondary. The fit seems perfect for the two sides.
The Bears will likely be moving on from Tillman. Tillman doesn’t have much left in the gas tank, but he should have a few more years of production for Lovie Smith and his defense.
