The Oakland Raiders have brought back Darren McFadden on a one-year deal, per Fallon Smith. It is a bit of a surprising move as McFadden was expected to test the free agency waters and there was supposed to be significant interest around the league for his services. He will continue to wear the black and silver though and the team will be hoping that he can stay healthy for the offense.
McFadden has shown flashes of brilliance in the past, but the last couple of seasons have been a disappointment. McFadden signed a short-term deal to hopefully prove that he can still hold down the position and make some plays.
McFadden will compete for the starting job with the Raiders. Rashad Jennings is also a free agent and he is getting some interest from other teams around the league. The New York Giants are one of the teams that has interest in getting Jennings onto their roster.
The Raiders signed McFadden back onto the roster, but they have a lot more big rumors that they are a part of.
