Jairus Byrd Visiting New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans Saints lost their safety Malcom Jenkins to the Philadelphia Eagles in free agency and now they are scrambling for a solution to their hole in the secondary. The best safety in the market is Jairus Byrd and they are bringing him in for a visit, per Adam Schefter.

The Saints could use Byrd’s talents in the secondary. They could line him up with Kenny Vaccaro in the secondary and it would make for one of the best tandems in the game, but do the Saints have the money to pay him? Will they be able to compete for his services.

T.J. Ward was another safety that was available in the market and he signed on with the Denver Broncos. That leaves Byrd as the best available safety in free agency and he will have his chance to take the best offer.

The Saints would make a solid move if they were to bring in Byrd onto their roster. They just need to free up some funds in order to add him.
