Julian Edelman Has 3-Year Deal on Table with Patriots

Julian Edelman is mulling over a 3-year deal that has been put on the table by the New England Patriots. The Patriots would like him to accept the deal before the start of free agency (4pm eastern time), per Ian Rapoport.

The Patriots would like to keep him on the roster as one of their top receiving threats, but if he doesn’t take the offer that is on the table it will force the Patriots to look in a different direction.

Edelman is one of the best slot receivers that is available in the market and should get a lot of attention going into free agency. The Browns are in hot pursuit of a slot receiver and if Edelman were able to become available, they may get into the bidding war for Edelman’s services.

The Patriots have their offer down and want their answer. Will Edelman take that money or will he go test the waters in free agency?
