Rashad Jennings Agrees to Deal with New York Giants

The Oakland Raiders decided to bring back Darren McFadden on a contract, but let Rashad Jennings walk away. Jennings was a much more productive back for the Raiders last season and McFadden has been a model of inconsistency for the team. McFadden barely has been healthy enough to stay on the field, but the Raiders decided that he is the running back that they would bring back.

Rashad Jennings instead signed with the New York Giants, per Dan Graziano. Jennings will get the opportunity to be the starting back for the Giants. He was productive in his opportunities starting with the Raiders and used that opportunity to land the job with the Giants.

Jennings was a durable running back that showed off his skills when he got his opportunities. He was a much better back for the Raiders and the Raiders should have worked harder to keep him around, but instead the Giants will benefit. Jennings should be a solid running back for the Giants offense.
