Vontae Davis Re-Signs With Indianapolis Colts

The Indianapolis Colts were able to re-sign their top corner Vontae Davis in free agency today. There were rumors that Davis was going to sign on with a different team when free agency opened up, but the Colts were able to work out a deal to keep Davis in a Colt uniform.

Davis was one of the top corners available in the free agency market. He was getting the attention from a number of teams, but he will remain with the Colts on a deal that is similar to Sam Shields.

Davis has agreed to a 4-year contract that is worth $39 million and $20 million of the deal is guaranteed, per Adam Schefter.

Good job for the Colts of keeping their own players. They were able to keep Davis on their defense and he will be locking down wide receivers for them for the next 4 years. Good move by the team to bring him back.
