The Tampa Bay Buccaneers needed to make a move with Darrelle Revis and they were trying to work out deals with multiple teams, but it looks like they were not able to reach a trade with anyone by their deadline and they have released Darrelle Revis, per Mike Garofolo.

Revis will now have the ability to sign on with any team that he would like. One of the favorites to land Revis is the New England Patriots.

The Patriots lost Aqib Talib to the Denver Broncos at the start of free agency and will need to find a replacement in their secondary. Revis would be a perfect fit for their plan and they have the funds to make something happen.

Revis is a business man and will drive the bidding war up between all the teams and will likely take the money from the highest bidder. Who will give that money over to Revis? Which team will he end up with?

The Raiders have the most money available and they didn’t blow anyone away with their signings at the start of free agency. This could be a big name to make some people smile.
