The Washington Redskins, who have been relatively quiet so far during the free agency period, started making some necessary moves to improve their horrid defense today. They started out by signing defensive end and former Philadelphia Eagle, Clifton Geathers. The team then further bolstered their defensive line by signing defensive tackle and former Dallas Cowboy, Jason Hatcher.

I like the moves, especially the Jason Hatcher signing. In 2013, Hatcher was able to produce 11 sacks and force 2 fumbles. Bringing in Hatcher should help the Washington defense produce a better, much needed pass-rush.
Ryan Kerrigan & Brian Orakpo might be the two players that benefit the most from this move. With opposing offenses having to focus some of their efforts on other facets of the defense, Orakpo’s and Kerrigan’s numbers should see an improvement in 2014.
