Chris Johnson To The Atlanta Falcons Makes Sense


The Tennessee Titans are likely going to cut their running back Chris Johnson soon and he should be getting interest from a few teams around the league. He should generate some interest like Desean Jackson generated some love as soon as he was released.

Johnson’s contract doesn’t match his production so the Titans are looking to drop him off the roster, but a team that could get into the mix immediately for Johnson’s services are the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons are looking to find a back to pair with Steven Jackson and they are looking for a home run threat on their roster. Johnson could split the reps with Jackson and they could help lock down the running game for the team.

Johnson and Jackson could pair up the responsibilities running the rock and give Matt Ryan some room to get the ball to Julio Jones and Roddy White. Johnson would be a good fit for the team and could help the offense move the ball down the field.

    If they could get him on the roster, to get defenses to stack the box, it would only help Matt Ryan. Every team knows hey have to ground threat. If CJ2K can be as explosive as he once was, for a team that actually has a passing game. It could be lights out…
