The New York Giants add depth, by signing veteran defensive tackle Mike Patterson, according to ProFottballTalk.com. Last season, Patterson had a solid year with the Giants and proved that he can be a competent rotational player. He also showed that he can continue to play after he had a seizure in 2011 while he was a member of the Philadelphia Eagles.
The logistics of the deal were not yet released, but the team announced that they are bringing the 30-year-old back onto the roster. Patterson had 18 tackles last season and made only 1 start, but appeared in all 16 games. Hopefully he can get a better role with the team next season, but it seems as if he will continue to be a role player that will just eat up some snaps during the middle portions of the games.
