Bucs WR Mike Williams Being Sued For Kitchen Fire

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Williams is having an interesting offseason. Williams was recently stabbed by his own brother in the leg “accidentally” and now he is making headlines all over again. This time he is making the news because his insurance company is suing him for an insurance claim that he made on his burned down kitchen.

The insurance company is claiming that Williams was negligent and caused the fire himself.

Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports that United Property & Casualty Insurance Co. is seeking $54,453 for a kitchen fire at Williams’ house last year. Williams is accused of “negligently and carelessly leaving a pan on the stove” and “failing to monitor” it before a fire started, requiring emergency responders to come to the scene. – Pro Football Talk

It sounds like I won’t be having Williams around a kitchen any time soon. He can’t be around knives and he can’t be around the oven. Something is going to get detroyed!

I dont think they will trade him yet, I think they will let him ride one more year, and when they have to pay him, cut or trade him If he hasn’t contributed to the Offense. I think his salary is already locked down for 2014. So cutting him only benefits the team that picks him up.
