The Detroit Lions are holding Clemson WR Martavis Bryant for a visit on Thursday, per The Detroit News. The Lions already have added Golden Tate to their offense and already have the best receiver in the game, Calvin Johnson, on their sideline, but they are still looking to add more talent.

The Lions are looking to get talent on the offense for Matthew Stafford. Adding Golden Tate was a great move for the team and adding another receiver into the mix would give the team some legit options for the quarterback. If Stafford were to struggle, it wouldn’t be because of the lack of talent.

Bryant was the other receiver on Clemson. Sammy Watkins drew all the attention, but Bryant is a star in the making himself. He has a great combination of size and speed, but there are some concerns on his route running. At Clemson, he was looked at to blow the top off of the defense most of the time. He has that speed to make that happen. He will have to show the ability to do other things in the league. If he had Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate as teammates though, he might just streak down the field over and over again. Let’s see if Stafford could overthrown him.
