Falcons Sign Rafael Bush to Offer Sheet

The Atlanta Falcons signed safety Rafael Bush to an offer sheet and the New Orleans Saints have until April 8th to match the offer, per Aaron Wilson. Bush is a restricted free agent and the Saints can match the offer if they would like to keep him around. If they do not match the offer though, the Saints would not receive anything for compensation.

Bush is a good young safety that would help the Falcons immediately in the secondary. If Bush were to stay on the Falcons roster, then the Falcons could turn their focus to a pass rusher and offensive tackle in the draft. The Falcons could hope for Jadeveon Clowney or Khalil Mack in the first round.

Bush would compete for a starting job with the Falcons. The Falcons still might want to bring in a safety in the draft to compete for playing time as well. Deone Bucannon is a player that could fit on the roster nicely.
