Pete Carroll and the Seattle Seahawks have agreed on a 3-year contract extension, per Adam Schefter. They will be making the announcement during a press conference today.

Carroll has been the head coach for the Seahawks during the last 4 seasons and he has led the team into the playoffs in 3 of those 4 seasons. Carroll was entering the final year of his 5-year contract and the team was looking to get him extended. They agreed on a new deal and won’t have to worry about his contract status during the season.

After taking the team into the Super Bowl and winning the big dance last season, Carroll was looking to get a new deal with the team. In his 4 seasons with the Seahawks, he has racked up a record of 38-26. He has been successful in transforming that roster into a powerhouse.

Carroll will have high expectations going into the season. With his team fresh off a Super Bowl win, the team will look to defend their championship and they will be looking to bring in multiple championships for years to come. Congrats Coach Carroll.
