Pete Carroll led the Seahawks on a magical ride this last season. He took the team into the playoffs and won the Super Bowl and that season has earned him a contract extension with the team, per Ian Rapoport. The contract details have not been released at this time, but there will be a press conference on Friday to share the details on the deal.

Carroll has led the Seahawks for the last 4 seasons and has led them to a record of 38-26 during that tenure. He has taken the team to the playoffs in 3 of his 4 seasons and has won the Super Bowl. It seems that he was due for a nice pay increase and an extension. He has a career record of 71-57 in the NFL.

Carroll has high expectations for the coming season and for the future seasons. He led the young squad to the top of the mountain and they are expected to hold their place at the top of the mountain again in the coming season. The Seahawks will have a lot of competition around the league and in the division. There is a lot of work to be done and they have their man to lead the charge for the next few seasons.
