Former New York Giants RB Andre Brown is headed to Houston in order to visit with the Texans organization about an opportunity to backup Arian Foster, per Pro Football Talk. With RB Ben Tate heading to Cleveland, the Texans are in need of someone to step in as the backup to Foster. The Texans might look to add more depth in the draft, but it should be nice to add some veteran depth onto the roster as well.

Brown has played well when he was on the field, but he has struggled with injuries during his career. He has played with the Giants for the last few seasons and has a career average of 4.1 yards per carry. Last season, he only was able to play in 8 games and he finished the season with 492 yards and 3 touchdowns. He started in all 8 of those games for the Giants, but he is better utilized as a backup and change of pace back. He could get that opportunity with the Texans.
