The Detroit Lions have hosted WR Sammy Watkins for a visit today and Watkins was able to meet with a couple of receivers that could be his teammates, Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate. What an unbelievable trio of receivers they would make on offense. The Lions are set on giving Matthew Stafford weapons on offense this offseason. Watkins might not be available with the 10th selection in the draft, but if he is sitting there when the Lions get on the clock, the Lions might run up to the podium with their selection.

Can you imagine that offense? Calvin Johnson is the best in the business. Golden Tate could work magic in the slot and can pick up a ton of yards after the catch. Sammy Watkins could stretch the field and give the Lions another home run threat. Reggie Bush would love all the attention that those receivers would get. Teams would not be able to stack the box and Bush should get more daylight to run to.

Watkins and Mike Evans are the top receiver options in the draft and the Lions have already hosted both of them for visits. Adding either of those prospects onto the roster would make this offense EXPLOSIVE. Stafford just needs to get the ball to them.
