A.J. McCarron Has Private Workout With Cleveland Browns Today

Former Alabama QB A.J. McCarron is having a private workout with the Cleveland Browns today, per Adam Schefter. The Browns hold a pair of selections in the first round of the draft and may not want to use those choices on a quarterabck. McCarron is a player that could be available later in the draft if the Browns. He could be available in the 3rd round.

McCarron would be a solid option for the Browns. He isn’t going to blow anyone away with his arm strength, but he has been a solid quarterback in college and is leaving the college game as a winner. He won back-to-back National Titles and is leaving the school with a .900 winning percentage.

McCarron knows how to win. Will the Browns want to pass on the other quarterbacks available in the draft and take a chance on McCarron though? Do they want to pass on Teddy Bridgewater or Johnny Manziel or Derek Carr or Blake Bortles in order to take another player?
